Job summary

GCB AGENCY RECRUITMENT is seeking an experienced Residential Surveyor in Somerset for a flexible consultancy role, minimum 2 days per week. You will undertake mortgage valuations, complete RICS Level 2 Home Surveys and Level 3 Building Surveys, and produce professional reports to lenders.

You will manage your own diary, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain compliance with standards, while enjoying administrative support and a steady flow of instructions.

Qualifications

• MRICS or AssocRICS qualification.
• RICS Registered Valuer status (VRS) is essential.
• Experience carrying out mortgage valuations.
• Experience completing RICS Level 2 Home Surveys and Level 3 Building Surveys.
• Strong knowledge of residential property construction and defects.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Highly organised, professional and self-motivated.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced RICS Registered Valuerfor flexible consultancy work?

We're recruiting for a Residential Surveyor to join a well-established, independent residential surveying practice to cover Tanton and the wider Somerset area.

Due to continued growth and increasing demand, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Residential Surveyor seeking a flexible consultancy position with a consistent pipeline of instructions, strong administrative support and the opportunity to increase workload as desired.

The Role

As a Residential Surveyor, you will:

• Undertake mortgage valuations for a range of lender clients
• Complete RICS Level 2 Home Surveys
• Complete RICS Level 3 Building Surveys
• Produce accurate, professional reports in line with RICS standards and lender requirements
• Manage your own diary and workload efficiently
• Deliver excellent customer service throughout the inspection and reporting process
• Maintain compliance with all relevant professional and regulatory standards
• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

Residential Surveyor Requirements:

• AssocRICS or MRICS qualification
• RICS Registered Valuer (VRS) status is essential
• Proven experience carrying out mortgage valuations
• Experience completing RICS Level 2 Home Surveys and Level 3 Building Surveys
• Strong knowledge of residential property construction and defects
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Highly organised, professional and self-motivated approach
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
