Job summary

Cambian Group Plc is hiring a Children's Residential Support Worker in Padiham, Burnley. The role includes 10 sleep-ins per month, daily routines, and helping to ensure care plans are up to date in a home environment.

Salary ranges £37,678 to £38,443 depending on Level 3/4 in Children’s Residential/Workforce, includes base pay plus sleep-in allowances. A full UK driving licence is required and sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is preferred or you may have cared for a younger friend or family member.
• Ability to work towards a Level 4 qualification in Children’s Residential Care.
• Manual UK driving licence is essential to use company cars.
• Open to ongoing development and learning with support from your manager, your team and the company.
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
• Ability to work day shifts with overnight sleep-ins at the service, away from home for a few days at a time.

Responsibilities

• Ensure our children receive the highest level of support and encouragement.
• 10 sleep-ins per month.
• Support senior staff with timely updates and feedback.
• Work as a team; we all support each other.
• Promote individuality, not a “one size fits all” approach.
• Complete and update care plans regularly, updating with any additional requirements.
• Be part of a welcoming, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping.
• Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support to our young people.
• Plan and join activities like day trips, holidays, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects.
