Job summary

Resicare Alliance LTD is seeking a Residential Support Worker in the United Kingdom to support children with complex needs, providing stability, encouragement and positive role modelling on every shift.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with pay at £13.50 per hour, offering opportunities to advance, take on keyworking responsibilities and progress toward the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare. You will work with families, social workers and professionals to deliver safe, quality care.

Qualifications

• Motivation to work with children and make a positive difference.
• Willingness to work towards Level 3 Diploma within two years.
• Ability to build appropriate relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Willingness to work flexibly, including shifts, weekends and sleep-ins.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• An enhanced DBS check valid for working with children (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality, child-centred care that promotes safety, stability and wellbeing
• Building positive, trusting relationships with children while maintaining professional boundaries
• Supporting children with daily routines, education, activities, health appointments and life skills
• Following care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies
• Acting as a key worker for allocated children, taking responsibility for care planning and outcomes
• Maintaining accurate, timely records and contributing to reviews
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, and leading shifts when required
• Engaging respectfully with families, social workers and other professionals
• Working towards your Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (if not already achieved)
