Job Opportunity: Residential Children Support Worker - Liverpool

Location: Liverpool

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Shift Pattern: 2 on 4 off inclusive of sleeps (minimum 8 sleeps per month)

Salary: £12.21ph plus £60 per sleep

Brook Street Social Care supports a children's residential service in Liverpool, providing a nurturing environment for children and young people with complex needs, trauma, or emotional difficulties.

We are seeking compassionate Residential Children Support Workers committed to making a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Providing emotional and physical support in a safe, homely environment
• Supporting daily routines, personal development, and education
• Promoting positive behaviour and handling challenging situations empathetically
• Building trusting relationships and acting as a positive role model
• Collaborating with colleagues, families, and external professionals to develop care plans
• Upholding safeguarding, health, and well-being standards

Requirements

• Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent
• Experience working with children in residential or similar settings
• Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
• Strong communication, resilience, and teamwork skills
• Passion for helping children overcome adversity
