Job summary

Lockhart Recruitment is recruiting a Residential Support Worker in Exeter to help young people aged 9-25 develop independence, confidence and life skills in a residential setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide daily living support, safeguarding and a nurturing environment.

The role offers full training and funded qualifications, including Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, with shift patterns including evenings and weekends and up to 13 weeks holiday.

• Commitment to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.
• Willingness to undertake funded training and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living and independence skills for young people.
• Provide emotional, social and practical support.
• Assist with personal care while maintaining dignity and respect.
• Plan and organise social activities and trips.
• Accompany young people on outings and community activities.
• Build professional relationships with families and external professionals.
• Support care planning and accurate record keeping.
