Job summary

Nottingham Community Housing Association is seeking a Support Worker for Sherwood House in Linby. You will help residents live independently, support daily living, personal care and community activities, and manage routine health and safeguarding tasks in a 24-hour rota.

Drive and a flexible attitude are valued. This role involves moving and handling, liaising with families and professionals, and maintaining accurate records in a welcoming, supportive home environment.

Qualifications

• Understanding of age-related health needs.
• Customer-focused, friendly approach to care.
• Experience in a care setting is desirable.
• Willingness to work a rota including weekends, bank holidays and waking nights.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate shifts to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.
• Support residents with daily living, personal care and community activities.
• Coordinate health, social care and community appointments.
• Promote residents' independence, choice and wellbeing.
• Administer and record medication to agreed procedures.
• Keep support plans, risk assessments and daily records up to date.
