Job summary

Marland Residential is seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join a busy, supportive team in Great Torrington. The role is full-time, weekdays, term-time only, with enhanced pay for sleep-ins and on-call duties.

You will help students with complex needs, build relationships with families and professionals, and support social and emotional development as part of a 24-hour curriculum. The school welcomes visits, emphasizes relational practice, and offers training and progression

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in education or care settings.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour and stay calm under pressure.
• Willingness to work towards Level 3 qualification if not held.

Responsibilities

• Engage small groups of students in positive activities and play.
• Build positive relationships with students, their families and professionals.
• Provide social and emotional support to help students overcome barriers and succeed.
