Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Torrington, Devon to provide high-quality care for children in a residential setting. You will create a safe, supportive home environment, promote safeguarding, and support educational and social development while working with families and professionals.

The role includes flexible shift patterns, DBS clearance, and a competitive salary (£29,000 - £35,000 per annum) with regular pay reviews.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development or equivalent.
• Enhanced DBS check.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, caring environment for children and young people.
• Log and report accidents, incidents and physical interventions.
• Promote safeguarding and welfare of each child at all times.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
• Support healthcare needs and accompany children to appointments.
