Job summary

Action for Children in Telford is seeking an experienced Residential Support Worker to create a safe, engaging daily environment for children and young people. You will support routines, personal care, activities and community involvement while building trusting relationships.

Ideal candidates will have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or be willing to work toward it, with safeguarding training and a proactive, problem‑solving approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential care settings.
• safeguards training or willingness to complete training.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead case/care planning management, including assessing, reviewing and managing risk.
• Co‑ordinating responsibilities within the service, with multi agency and producing family information, including analysis and written reports.
• Supporting with taking part in fun activities, learn new skills and work towards independence
• Supporting with personal care, communication, administration of medication and clinical procedures
