Job summary

Horizon Care and Education is seeking a Children’s Residential Support Worker in Salford to help young people thrive in a supportive home environment. You will assist with daily routines, meals, and activities, promoting safety and well-being.

The role requires building trusting relationships, role modelling, and flexibility to cover evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. A Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People Workforce is encouraged to complete.

Qualifications

• Must have UK manual driving licence.
• Able to be a great role model for looked after children.
• Able to build trusting relationships.
• Willingness to complete Level 3 qualification in Children’s and Young People Workforce.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.

Responsibilities

• Support young people in daily life within our homes.
• Facilitate hobbies, activities and social connections for young people.
• Provide day-to-day care in a safe, homely, therapeutic environment.
• Support young people to reach their potential and experience new opportunities.
• Collaborate with other professionals and contribute to care planning.
