Job summary

S.N.G Health Care Agency is seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker for a children’s residential setting in Fareham. You will lead shifts, mentor junior staff, and ensure safe, person-centred care for children and young people with learning difficulties and challenging behaviours.

The role requires a positive, flexible, proactive approach, a minimum of 2 years in a children’s residential setting, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a well-established children's residential home in Fareham, supporting children and young people with learning difficulties and challenging behaviours. This role is suitable for candidates commuting from Fareham, Portsmouth, Gosport, Wickham, Portchester, Southampton, Waterlooville and surrounding areas. As an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in leading shifts and ensuring children and young people receive safe, consistent and person-centred care. You will act as a positive role model for the wider team, supporting and mentoring junior staff while helping to maintain a safe, stable and nurturing home environment. You will be responsible for supporting individual care plans, maintaining safeguarding standards, completing delegated responsibilities and working closely with families and external professionals. You will also support the management team with regulatory compliance and participate in the on-call rota.

Please note: We do not hold licences to support overseas candidates. You must have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker within a children's residential setting.,
