Job summary

SCR is seeking passionate and dedicated Children’s Support Workers to join our team on a permanent basis across three homes in Swindon, Bridgewater and Wellington. You will promote emotional well-being, independence and rights of young people in a safe, nurturing environment.

The role requires a minimum of 6 months experience with children or young people, a full UK driving licence and a proactive, resilient, empathetic approach. An Enhanced DBS check will be completed as part of safeguarding.

Children’s Support Workers

We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Children’s Support Workers to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people, providing high-quality care and emotional support in a safe, nurturing environment.

We are currently recruiting for 3 homes in Swindon, Bridgewater and Wellington.

As a Children’s Support Worker, you will play a key role in promoting the emotional well‑being, independence, and rights of the young people in your care. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help ensure that every child feels safe, respected, and empowered.

Upon a successful probation period, you will be encouraged to take the Level 3 Children and Young People Workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering consistent, high-quality care in line with individual care plans
• Supporting the emotional, behavioural, and social development of young people
• Helping young people make informed choices and develop life skills
• Maintaining a safe, structured, and non-judgemental environment

Shift Pattern

• 10am – 10pm + Sleep + 7am – 10am
• 3 Shifts Per Week
• Working on 1:1 basis

Salary

• £34,300 - £37,650 annually
• £15 per hour
• £70 Sleeps

Requirements
