Job summary

SCR in the United Kingdom is seeking passionate Children’s Support Workers to join on a permanent basis. The role offers 3 homes across Swindon, Bridgewater and Wellington, with a shift pattern including day and night hours on a 1:1 basis to deliver tailored care.

Upon probation, you may pursue Level 3 Children and Young People Workforce. The position requires at least 6 months experience with children, a UK driving licence, and a resilience-focused, empathetic approach. DBS checks are mandatory.

Children’s Support Workers

We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Children’s Support Workers to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people, providing high-quality care and emotional support in a safe, nurturing environment.

We are currently recruiting for 3 homes in Swindon, Bridgewater and Wellington.

Upon a successful probation period, you will be encouraged to take the Level 3 Children and Young People Workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering consistent, high-quality care in line with individual care plans
• Supporting the emotional, behavioural, and social development of young people
• Helping young people make informed choices and develop life skills
• Maintaining a safe, structured, and non-judgemental environment

Shift Pattern

• 10am - 10pm + Sleep + 7am - 10am
• 3 Shifts Per Week
• Working on 1:1 basis

Salary

• £34,300 - £37,650 annually
• £15 per hour
• £70 Sleeps

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 months experience working with children or young people in a similar setting
• A full UK driving licence
• A calm, committed, compassionate, and empathetic nature
• A proactive and resilient approach with a strong "can-do" attitude
