A residential services provider is seeking a Residential Scheme Manager to join their Specialist Living team. This part-time permanent position is site-based at Boundary Court in Cheadle. The role entails managing sheltered housing services for older tenants, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and maintaining excellent customer service. Candidates must live on-site in provided accommodation and hold a full UK driving licence. Qualifications

  • Experience working with older individuals in a service environment.
  • Knowledge of building management and compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of health and safety policies and risks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience in proactively improving services and satisfaction.
  • Intermediate IT skills in Microsoft Office.
  • A satisfactory DBS reference is required.
  • A full UK driving licence and car access is essential.
  • Desirable knowledge of CQC requirements.
  • Desirable certificates in Sheltered Housing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the scheme.
  • Provide excellent customer service to tenants.
  • Report and manage repairs as required.
  • Handle tenant emergencies in a professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with external contacts for service improvement.

Skills

About the role

We are looking for a Residential Scheme Manager to join our Specialist Living team on a part‑time permanent basis. This role is site based at Boundary Court in Cheadle. The successful candidate must be willing/able to live on site in accommodation provided. The flat is provided rent free but the successful candidate will be responsible for paying the usual energy bills and council tax.

A driving licence will be required for this role as our Scheme managers travel to our other schemes on an ad hoc basis and you will attend the office as and when required.

The purpose of this role is to provide intensive housing and building management services, at Onward sheltered housing schemes enabling tenants to live confidently and independently in their own homes and ensuring Onward meet its health & safety and compliance requirements.

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the scheme, providing excellent customer service which meets and exceeds expectations, including reporting repairs. The successful candidate will participate in Partnership working, liaising with various external contacts to develop process and communication across the board to maintain collaborative working.

Provide each tenants with an agreed level of intensive housing management, responding to any tenant emergencies in a professional and proactive manner.

You will ensure that each Sheltered Housing scheme meets the regulatory standards for all H&S compliance requirements and reduce risk to ensure security of the building.
