Job summary

urbanbubble Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Operative to support daily presentation and upkeep of a luxury development in Bath. You will provide first-line response to building support requests, advise on technical issues, and oversee fabric and minor repairs to keep the development running smoothly.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, strong customer service, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with knowledge of health and safety standards and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing maintenance or frontline role.
• Electrical competency demonstrated by a valid certificate within last 3 years.
• IOSH Working Safely qualification or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of water systems and Legionella/L8 guidelines.
• Experience with CAFM systems (preferably web-based).
• Able to work alone or in a team and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Check the work order system daily for current reactive and future works.
• Carry out lighting checks and replace light bulbs.
• Ensure works completed to a high standard and within timeframes.
• Carry out decoration and repairs to homes within 5 days, ready for letting.
• Liaise with Building Manager to prioritise workload.
• Ensure compliance with Rent Smart and letting codes.
• Inform company of additional works needed at location.
• Work independently while supporting team goals.
• Ensure works comply with HSE and water bye-laws.
• Respond to emergency call outs effectively.
• Provide general maintenance assistance including furniture building and hanging items.
• Be flexible and assist with ad hoc duties including front reception duties.
