Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Operative to join our premium London student accommodation portfolio. You’ll carry out reactive repairs, planned maintenance and general building upkeep across modern residential properties, ensuring safety, compliance and a high standard of presentation for residents.

You’ll work with the site team, use a CAFM system on an iPad, support contractors and maintain maintenance records while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance background.
• Experience in painting, decorating and general building repairs.
• Customer-focused with proactive attitude.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and bank holidays.
• DBS check preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Reactive and planned maintenance (PPM).
• Basic plumbing, painting, decorating and general handyman repairs.
• Daily building inspections using a CAFM system/iPad.
• Supporting contractors and maintaining maintenance records.
• Ensuring Health & Safety and compliance standards are met.
• Delivering excellent customer service to residents.
