Job summary

Langley Trust in Poole is seeking a compassionate Residential Intervention Worker on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role is 37.5 hours per week across three 12.5‑hour shifts, including weekends, to support individuals with complex needs in reintegration into the community.

The successful candidate will work with safeguarding, risk management and pro-social modelling to help clients gain independence while maintaining safe communities. A competitive salary of £34,995 is offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate activities or programmes.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to build relationships with clients and external agencies.
• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Willingness to work towards QCF Level 3 in Community Justice and Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead client inductions, pre-placement meetings and visits to explain the service and expectations.
• Keywork clients and deliver programmes and interventions for personal development and reintegration.
• Contribute to risk assessments and risk management plans; monitor changes and share information with partners.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and referrals while liaising with probation staff, police and service providers.
• Promote standards of conduct and licence conditions through pro-social modelling with managers and practitioners.
• Support clients' physical and mental wellbeing, safeguarding duties and first-aid response.
