Job summary

WrightBuild Group in Ringwood, Hampshire, is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join its commercial team. The role covers both surveying and estimating for residential groundworks and civil engineering projects, reporting to the Commercial Director.

You'll work closely with procurement and operations to ensure projects run from tender through to final account, with a focus on cost control, tender preparation and subcontractor management.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' experience within UK residential groundworks or civil engineering.
• Experience in both Quantity Surveying and Estimating.
• Strong understanding of contracts, cost management and commercial reporting.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare competitive tenders and cost estimates for residential groundworks and civil engineering projects.
• Assist with the preparation, submission and negotiation of tenders.
• Manage project costs, forecasts and commercial reporting.
• Prepare, submit and agree project variations and contractual changes.
• Monitor project profitability and prepare accurate cost reports.
• Ensure contractual obligations are understood and managed throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with procurement and site management teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
