Job summary

Wright Engineering is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial aspects of multiple engineering projects from tender handover to final account. You will work with Project Managers and site teams to ensure profitability and strict contractual compliance.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying, extensive project experience, and strong knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts. You will travel to UK sites and contribute to continuous improvement within a dynamic, UK-wide engineering

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in engineering/construction.
• Strong knowledge of JCT, NEC and other standard forms of contract.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent commercial awareness with negotiation/analytical skills.
• Experience managing subcontract procurement, valuations and final accounts.
• Proficient in Excel and commercial management software.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial responsibility for multiple concurrent projects.
• Produce CVRs and commercial reports.
• Identify risks and opportunities, mitigations as needed.
• Maximise profitability through contract administration.
• Support project teams with commercial advice throughout the lifecycle.
• Prepare and issue contractual notices and documentation.
• Assess obligations, risks, and entitlements.
• Manage change control, including variations and compensation events.
• Finalize accounts with clients and subcontractors.
• Support tender reviews and estimating teams.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Site teams.
• Mentor junior commercial staff and promote best practice.
