Job summary

Osterna, part of RMG and Places for People Group, is seeking an experienced Residential Fire Risk Assessor to join a proactive Health & Safety team covering Bristol and surrounding areas. You will be home-based when not visiting sites, typically performing up to 10 visits weekly, with national travel as needed.

Role focuses on inspecting residential blocks, sheltered housing, HMOs and high-rise buildings, and writing reports for managers to drive repairs and safety improvements.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Experience undertaking fire risk assessment work within the residential property sector on High Rise Buildings.
• NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and NEBOSH National General Certificate (Level 3).
• Experience with Health and Safety Type 1 and Type 3 Fire Risk Assessments (HSFRA) and Compartmentation Surveys.
• Knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation as applied to property management.
• LaCORS experience would be great but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections of residential properties including high-rise blocks.
• Write up risk assessment reports with findings for property managers and directors.
• Support repairs and procedures to keep residential common areas safe.
• Reports typically confined to common internal and external areas of developments.
