Job summary

Osterna, part of RMG and Places for People Group, seeks an experienced Residential Fire Risk Assessor to join a proactive team covering Birmingham and surrounds. You will be homebased when not visiting sites, typically completing up to 10 site visits weekly with some national travel.

You will specialise in residential housing risk assessments, writing detailed reports for managers and directors to drive repairs and safety improvements in common areas.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and vehicle access.
• Experience undertaking fire risk assessments in residential property, including high-rise builds.
• Knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and local guidance.
• LaCORS experience is a plus, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections across residential properties including high-rise and sheltered housing.
• Write up risk assessment reports with findings for property managers.
• Assist in implementing repairs and procedures to maintain safe common areas.
