Osterna, part of RMG and Places for People Group, is seeking an experienced Residential Fire Risk Assessor to join our Health & Safety team covering Cheshire and surrounding areas. You will be homebased when not on site, typically completing up to 10 site visits per week, with some national travel.

The role focuses on residential properties including blocks, sheltered housing, HMOs and high-rise buildings; you will write reports and support property managers with safety compliance.

Formación

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
• Experience undertaking fire risk assessments in residential properties, including high-rise buildings.
• Holding NEBOSH Fire Safety and NEBOSH General Certificate (Level 3) is essential.
• Experience with HSFRA (Type 1/Type 3) assessments and compartmentation surveys.
• Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation as it applies to property management.
• Knowledge of The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and local guidance.
• LaCORS experience is a plus; training will be provided.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect a range of residential properties (blocks, sheltered housing, HMOs, high-rise) and document findings.
• Write up risk assessment reports with clear recommendations.
• Support Property Managers and Directors to initiate repairs or actions to keep common areas safe.
• Operate on a home-based basis when not on-site, with up to 10 site visits per week and occasional national travel.

Osterna, part of RMG and Places for People Group, is looking for an experienced Residential Fire Risk Assessor to join a proactive and highly successful team of Health & Safety Professionals covering a patch across Cheshire and Surrounding areas

With a positive work / life balance, you will be homebased when not undertaking site visits. You will typically complete up to 10 site visits a week (Monday to Friday). Although we are seeking an assessor based in the Cheshire area, national travel may be required

What does the role involve?

Specialising in the residential housing sector, Osterna's Residential Fire Risk Assessors carry out inspections to a range of property types including traditional residential blocks, sheltered housing, HMO and high-rise (over 18 metres +) housing and write up reports with your findings.

Completed risk assessments are used by the Property Managers and Directors of the management companies to initiate repairs or any other procedures required, to ensure the residential common areas remain a safe environment.

What knowledge, skills and experience are we looking for from our Fire Risk Assessor?

Essential criteria -

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential
• Experience undertaking fire risk assessment work within the residential property sector on High Rise Buildings
• It's essential you have a NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Level 3 NEBOSH National General Certificate
• Experience of undertaking suitable and sufficient Health and Safety and Type's 1 and Type 3 Fire Risk Assessments (HSFRA), and Compartmentation Surveys.
• Accuracy and attention to detail within your reports is essential, along with a comprehensive knowledge of the current Health and Safety legislation and its application to property management.
• Knowledge of The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and supporting local government guidance and its application to our sector.
• LaCORS experience would be great, although not essential and training will be provided.

Preferred

• Preferably you will need to be on a NFRA register with the IFSM or IFE or willing to work towards
