Job summary

Norfolk County Council is seeking Residential & Edge of Care Workers for the New Roads service in the East Hub. You will work as a keyworker for young people, maintain relationships through transitions, and contribute to care planning during reviews and meetings.

Role includes sleep-in duties on a rota, outreach support for families, and a commitment to training up to NVQ Level 3 within 18 months. A full driving licence and vehicle access are required.

Qualifications

• Good level of literacy and numeracy
• Ability to form effective relationships with children
• Willingness to undertake relevant training
• Must attain NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care within 18 months of appointment

Responsibilities

• Undertake a keyworker role with residents and maintain relationships through transitions
• Contribute to the care planning process by participating in statutory reviews and planning meetings
• Undertake sleep-in duties on a rota basis and provide outreach support for young people and families
• Ensure the young person’s views and wishes are sought and acted upon
