TSR Legal in Port Talbot is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer to join the property team and manage a personal caseload from instruction through to completion.

You will handle sales, new-builds, remortgages and post-completion work, with a strong focus on client care and accuracy. This permanent role follows a 5-month probation and offers a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' proven experience in residential conveyancing.
• CQS accreditation desirable or held.

Responsibilities

• Manage own residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion.
• Prepare files, contracts packs, searches, and redemption statements.
• Liaise with clients, lenders, agents and third parties throughout transactions.
• Complete post-completion work and maintain records in line with firm procedures.

Location: Port Talbot
Salary: From £34,000 depending on experience
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am5:00pm
Contract: Permanent, following a 5-month probationary period

The Opportunity

TSR Legal are currently working with a well-established law firm that is looking to appoint an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer to join its growing residential property team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and client-focused conveyancer who is looking to join a supportive team and take responsibility for their own caseload, handling matters from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion.

The Role

You will manage your own residential conveyancing caseload, dealing with a broad range of property matters including:

• Sales and purchases
• New-build transactions
• Remortgages
• Taking initial client instructions and providing clear cost quotations
• Preparing and issuing contract packs
• Applying for searches and obtaining redemption statements
• Preparing files for completion and ensuring all parties are kept updated
• Liaising with clients, lenders, agents and other third parties throughout transactions
• Completing all necessary post-completion work
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in line with the firm's procedures and best practice
• Keeping up to date with developments in residential property law and relevant regulations

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• At least 2 years' proven experience working within residential conveyancing
• CQS accreditation
• The ability to manage a caseload independently while also working effectively as part of a wider team
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent client care and communication skills
