Job summary

Legals 4 Lawyers invites applications for a Conveyancing Solicitor/Conveyancer to join their Residential Property Team in Tring. A PQE of 2–3 years is sought, with the ability to manage a varied caseload and deliver high standards of client care.

You will work alongside two Property Solicitors and two Legal Secretaries, handling freehold, leasehold, and related transactions on a on-site basis with 9–5:30 hours and competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years pqe in conveyancing.
• Proven experience handling residential property matters.
• Ability to manage own caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with SRA Code of Conduct and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Handle a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters (freehold, leasehold, registered/unregistered, etc).
• Proactively manage conveyancing tasks and client expectations throughout transactions.
• Maintain regular client contact and updates within service levels.
• Support firm marketing campaigns and develop relationships with introducers and clients.
• Work with team to embrace technology and case management systems.

CONVEYANCING SOLICITOR/CONVEYANCER

Our clients are an established firm having practised in the local area for over 40 years with an enviable reputation. They are now seeking a Residential Conveyancing Solicitor/Conveyancer to join their Property Team.

The Location

This role is to be based in their Tring office with parking close by to the office or by easy access to train services.

Role Purpose

Our clients are looking for an experienced Conveyancer or Conveyancing Solicitor, who is expected to be passionately driven to deliver the highest possible legal and service standards as part of their Property Team.

The successful candidate will be expected to maximise profit for the firm, to engage in the management process and support the firm's marketing campaigns; to build relationships with the firm's introducers and clients and to nurture and to encourage further business to the firm. Our clients expect their staff to lead by example, to work with the firm to embrace existing and new technology and changes in the way conveyancing services are delivered.

Area of Accountability

• To take responsibility for a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters including freehold, leasehold, registered, unregistered, shared ownership, new build properties and Limited Company transactions.
• To proactively and efficiently manage conveyancing tasks throughout the entire transaction, whilst managing Client expectations.
• To maintain regular contact with clients, providing regular updates within agreed internal and external service level agreements and within company procedures.
• To act in accordance with our regulatory requirements including AML processes.
• Demonstrate exceptional client care skills.
• To deal with clients, solicitors, mortgage lenders, brokers, other stakeholders in an efficient and professional manner.
• To monitor the progress and status of all transactions within your caseload.
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork and high performance, with a strong focus on client care.
• To identify and refer complex queries to the Conveyancing Partner for assistance and guidance in dealing with the matter, to be able to understand and react quickly and respond appropriately to 'red flags' to ensure compliance with our professional standards at all times.
• To also undertake any "ad hoc" duties when reasonably required.

What you will need to succeed

At least 2-3 yrs pqe and must be able to manage own caseload.

You will be working alongside 2 Property Solicitors and there are 2 Legal Secretaries in support.

• Proven experience and a track record in handling a range of residential property matters.
• Fully self-sufficient and IT competent and keen to embrace technology and existing their Case Management System.
• The ability to progress transactions and manage a caseload with minimal supervision.
• Capable of building strong and effective relationships.
• Meet service level agreements, timescales and adhere to the firm's policies and procedures.
• Have a good understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct and any other Regulatory requirements.
• An ability to work quickly and maintain high levels of accuracy.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and adapt to meet client and business needs.

Skills & Requirements

Although our clients are looking for a Solicitor or experienced Conveyancer of at least 2-3 yrs pqe. They will also accept applications in from those at more senior levels of pqe. Should you have any gaps and do need some guidance, then our clients will be able to support you and accommodate as there is a solid chance to progress further in this practice area.

However, should you have more years pqe, then this role could lead to career progression further down the line.
