QED Legal Recruitment Limited is representing a Leicestershire law firm seeking a Residential Conveyancer at NQ–3 PQE to join their growing team with offices in Loughborough and Leicester. You will manage your own caseload from instruction to completion across a broad range of residential property work, including freehold, leasehold, and remortgages.
This client-facing role emphasizes strong communication and relationship-building, with training and development and clear progression
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Residential Conveyancer to join a well-established and growing Leicestershire law firm with offices in Loughborough and Leicester.
This is particularly well suited to somebody at the earlier stages of their career who wants to develop within an experienced property team, take responsibility for their own caseload and gain exposure to a genuinely varied range of residential property work.
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors, CILEX Lawyers, Licensed Conveyancers and equivalent qualified conveyancing professionals from NQ through to approximately 3 years' PQE.
You will join an established Residential Property team and manage your own caseload from initial instruction through to completion.
The work is considerably broader than straightforward sales and purchases and will include:
For somebody early in their career, the breadth of the work is a real attraction. You will have the opportunity to develop into a well-rounded property lawyer rather than becoming restricted to one type of transaction.
You will be trusted to manage your own matters while having the benefit of an experienced team around you when you need guidance or support.
This is also a client-facing position, so strong communication skills and an ability to build relationships with clients and other professionals involved in a transaction will be important.
This is a long-established Leicestershire practice that has been providing legal advice to individuals, families and businesses for over 100 years.
Despite that history, this isn't a firm standing still. It has continued to develop as a modern practice while retaining the personal, approachable style of service associated with a strong regional firm.
The Residential Property department itself is in a period of development and growth, making this a particularly interesting time for an ambitious junior conveyancer to join.
The department is led by an experienced Head of Residential Conveyancing with more than a decade of experience in the field, alongside experienced lawyers and support staff.
There is a genuine emphasis on training and development within the department, making it a strong environment for somebody who has qualified recently and wants to continue building their technical ability and confidence.
The firm is Lexcel accredited and its Residential Property team is also accredited under the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme.
You are likely to be:
Most importantly, the firm is looking for somebody who wants to develop.
You don't need to arrive knowing everything. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced property lawyers, broaden your technical experience and continue developing into a confident and well-rounded conveyancer.
For somebody at NQ–3 PQE, this offers a very good balance.
You'll have your own caseload and genuine responsibility, but you won't be expected to develop in isolation.
You'll work within an established team, gain exposure to everything from everyday residential transactions through to new builds, unregistered property and small-scale development work, and have the opportunity to build a broad foundation in property law.
It's an opportunity to join a firm with more than a century of history behind it while becoming part of a Residential Property department that is actively looking to grow and develop its next generation of lawyers.
