Job summary

NU London is seeking a Community Coordinator to develop vibrant residential communities for around 45-50 students across multiple residence sites. The role requires proactive leadership, evening and weekend presence, and collaboration with campus colleagues to create integrated support for student life.

You will foster belonging through programming, conduct monthly one-on-one conversations, handle crises, and maintain thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional or vocational experience in a relevant field such as Higher Education, International Education, Student Development, or Youth Working.
• Demonstrated ability to build community and foster belonging among diverse groups in residential, educational, or youth development settings.
• Flexibility and ability to work in fast-paced environments, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain vibrant residential communities through intentional relationship building and inclusive programming.
• Develop independent educational engagements (events) aligned with the co-curricular framework and student growth.
• Serve as primary on-call staff within a 24/7 rotation to respond to student emergencies and crises.
• Conduct semesterly community assessments and maintain documentation of incidents and interactions.
• Attend and contribute to meetings with line managers and departmental teams to support student experience.
