Job summary

Northeastern University London seeks a Community Coordinator to cultivate vibrant residential communities for ~45–50 students across multiple residence halls. The role emphasizes proactive outreach, programming aligned with a co-curricular framework, and strong collaboration with campus partners to support student life and wellbeing.

The position requires significant evening and weekend presence, on-call duty in shifts, and living in on-campus accommodation as the primary residence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional or vocational experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated ability to build community and foster belonging among diverse groups in residential, educational, or youth development settings.
• Proven ability to demonstrate sound judgement and take actions that satisfy a wide range of interests whilst achieving programmatic goals.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain vibrant residential communities within the halls through intentional relationship building, inclusive programming and proactive outreach.
• Develop and implement independent educational engagements (events) that address students’ personal and intellectual growth.
• Maintain consistent and visible presence in the residence halls through 1-2 scheduled evening shifts per week and approximately 1 weekend shift per month (on call).
• Actively collaborate with colleagues across the university to provide a seamless support network for students.
• Promote participation in existing campus events and external London based opportunities.
