Homes2Inspire, part of the Shaw Trust Group, seeks a Children’s Residential Support Worker to care for young people at Buckby House in Long Buckby, NN6. The role requires safeguarding, daily living support, and fostering independence in essential life skills.

Join a large charity-owned provider with opportunities for training and career development, sleep-ins (1–2/week), and a supportive team in a regulated residential setting.

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrates compassion and empathy in caring for children and youth.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with young people, families, and professionals.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Willingness to work towards QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (fully funded).

Aufgaben

• Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of young people in our care.
• Provide daily care and support, including cooking, cleaning, and promoting independence in budgeting and shopping.
• Encourage participation in community activities and hobbies.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow Ofsted regulations, reporting incidents as required.
• Build positive relationships and act as a role model for behaviour management.
• Transport young people to school, appointments, activities, and outings.
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with management and social workers.
• Work flexibly including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins (1–2 per week).
• Drivers with a full UK license are essential.
