Job summary

Client in the Southport area is recruiting a Residential Childcare Worker. The role requires experience with children and their families and NVQ Level III/ Diploma Level 3 or a recognised Social Work qualification.

You will help maintain positive childcare practice and provide a safe, warm environment for young residents. The position offers hourly pay at £8.61 with a sleep-in rate of £46.25 per sleep-in, and you will work within policies and procedures while supporting educational activities

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and their families.
• NVQ Level III/Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children and Young People or a recognised Social Work Qualification.
• Ability to provide a safe, warm and supportive environment in a residential setting.

The salary is 8.61 per hour with a fantastic rate of £46.25 per sleep in.

You will be required to maintain the development of positive childcare practice in keeping with the aims and objectives of my Client. To provide a safe, warm and supportive environment for the young resident. Carry out duties in line with policies and equal opportunities. To comply with company rules, policies and practices of the establishment and to respond to emergencies which may arise within the establishment. To foster and encourage, whenever appropriate contact between residents and their families. Promote and encourage learning by the young people and to work with the young people on educational activities within the programme of education devised by my client.
