Job summary

Randstad Care is seeking passionate residential childcare workers to provide 24-hour support in residential services for children. Roles include part-time and full-time shifts booked via our app, with an immediate start possible.

Responsibilities cover health and safety, medication administration, and helping with education and personal development while supporting children living away from their families.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a residential setting with young people.
• Flexibility in the roles undertaken to cover shifts.
• Experience assisting with educational activities for children.
• Strong communication skills.
• PVG scheme registration.
• Full driving license (preferred).
• SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent desirable.

Responsibilities

• Providing 24-hour care to vulnerable young people.
• Ensure children health, hygiene, and safety needs are met.
• Administering medication.
• Provide care, support, and emotional guidance to children living away from their families.
• Assist in personal development, education, and social interactions.
• Manage challenging behaviour with appropriate strategies.
• Teaching essential life skills for independent living.

A successful Residential Children worker will be responsible for:

• Providing 24-hour care to vulnerable young people

To be successful in your application, you will:

• Have previous experience working in a residential setting with young people
• Have flexibility in the roles undertaken
• Experience in assisting with educational needs and activities for Children
• Have strong communication skills
• Register under the PVG scheme
• Full driving license (Preferred)
• Obtained, or working towards SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable
