Job summary

Randstad Care is seeking an experienced Temporary Residential Support Worker to join a residential education setting in Auchterarder. You will deliver high-quality 24-hour care to young people, supporting them with routines, activities and life skills.

You will operate with complete flexibility on your schedule, earning up to £22 per hour and using our app to pick shifts that fit your availability. PVG registration support and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential settings with children or young people.
• Active PVG scheme membership (or willingness to register).
• SVQ Level 3 in CYPS or Social Care or equivalent is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-standard 24-hour care to vulnerable young people in a residential educational environment.
• Support service users with complex needs, early trauma, and emotional/behavioural difficulties.
• Foster independence by helping with school routines, activities and life skills.

What You Need to Succeed

• Experience: Proven track record in a residential setting working with children or young adults.
• Registration: Active PVG scheme membership (or willingness to register).
• Qualifications: SVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or Social Care (or equivalent SSSC-recognised qualification) is highly desirable.
• Transport: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred due to the location in Auchterarder.
• Attributes: Resilience, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude.

Transferable Experience

This position is also well-suited to individuals with a background as a Youth Worker, Support Practitioner, Residential Care Officer, Additional Support Needs (ASN) Assistant, or Community Support Worker.
