Job summary

Randstad Care is seeking a Residential Childcare Worker to provide 24-hour care for vulnerable young people in Edinburgh. The role offers flexible shifts and both part-time and full-time hours, with a focus on health, safety and well-being.

The ideal candidate has experience in residential settings, strong communication skills, and PVG checks. Desirable SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and driving license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a residential setting with young people.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• PVG scheme registration preferred.
• Full driving license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing 24-hour care to vulnerable young people.
• Ensuring health, hygiene and safety needs are met.
• Managing challenging behaviours with appropriate strategies.
• Administering medication and maintaining professional standards.
• Assisting with personal care, meals and supervision of activities.
• Supporting educational needs and teaching life skills.
