Job summary

Randstad Care in Bishopbriggs is seeking experienced Residential practitioners to promote the independence of vulnerable children. Flexible part-time and full-time shifts are available by booking your own shifts via our app, with support from a dedicated Randstad consultant.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Full UK driving license is required.
• PVG scheme registration is expected.
• 6+ months UK experience as a Support Worker is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide constant supervision and care for children in a residential setting.
• Offer emotional support and build trusting relationships with the children.
• Offer guidance and education to families on parenting and child development.
• Connect families with community resources and support services.
• Conduct home visits to assess living situations and provide in-home support.
• Work towards family reunification when possible.

A successful Residential practitioner will be responsible for:

• Provide constant supervision and care for children in a residential setting.
• Offer emotional support and build trusting relationships with the children.
• Offer guidance and education to families on parenting and child development.
• Connect families with community resources and support services.
• Conduct home visits to assess living situations and provide in-home support.
• Work towards family reunification when possible.

To be successful in your Residential practitioner application, you will:

• Have previous 6 months prior experience in the UK as Support Worker
• Have strong communication skills
• Register under the PVG scheme
• Full driving license(required)
• Obtained, or working towards SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable
