Job summary

Branas Isaf Children's Services, part of the CareTech Group, in Oswestry, is recruiting residential support workers. You will provide emotional and practical support to children and young people with complex needs, and join a therapeutic care team with education and clinical professionals.

You will encourage independence through structured activities and participate in outdoor adventures, while training is provided for digital record-keeping and sleep-in duties.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training and mentoring provided.

Job description

• Provide emotional and practical support to children and young people with complex needs (including emotional and behavioural difficulties)


• Be part of a therapeutic care team alongside education and clinical professionals


• Encourage young people to grow, develop independence, and thrive in a safe and structured environment


• Actively support and participate in a range of outdoor and adventure activities, including mountain climbing, cycling, hill walking, kayaking, and other recreational pursuits, encouraging individuals to achieve their personal goals and enjoy new experiences.


• New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people's records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided. However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day-to-day role


• Help create Extraordinary Days Every Day through positive, meaningful experiences.
  Full UK manual driving licence (essential)


• Willingness to work unsociable hours (evenings, weekends, and overnight sleep-ins)


• Ability to commit to sleep ins with a rolling rota

  £35,204 to £36,640 per year (includes base salary + estimated sleep-in allowances)


• Base Salary: £28,724.80 (Unqualified) to £30,160 (Qualified) (Hourly rate : £13.81 - 15.01) Plus £67.50 per sleep-in. Based on an average of 8 sleep-ins per month, you will top up your earnings by £6480 annually. Full-Time permanent role.
