Job summary

Branas Isaf in Corwen, part of CareTech Group, seeks Residential Support Workers to support children with complex needs in a therapeutic environment. You will work a 2 on/4 off rota with paid sleep-ins and comprehensive training.

Full time, permanent role with funds for Diploma in Residential Childcare, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive rural unit environment.

Social Care Practitioner/ Residential Support Worker – Children’s Residential Care

Location: Corwen, Denbighshire - Full UK manual driving licence required

£35,204 to £36,640 per year (includes base salary + estimated sleep-in allowances)

Base Salary: £28,724.80 (Unqualified) to £30,160 (Qualified) (Hourly rate : £13.81 - 15.01)
Plus £67.50 per sleep-in. Based on an average of 8 sleep-ins per month, you will top up your earnings by £6480 annually.

Full-Time permanent role. Consolidated shifts - great work/life balance | 3 month rota planned in advance | Sleep-ins included ( 6-10 a month)

What You'll Do

• Provide emotional and practical support to children and young people with complex needs (including emotional and behavioural difficulties)
• Be part of a therapeutic care team alongside education and clinical professionals
• Encourage young people to grow, develop independence, and thrive in a safe and structured environment
• Actively support and participate in a range of outdoor and adventure activities, including mountain climbing, cycling, hill walking, kayaking, and other recreational pursuits, encouraging individuals to achieve their personal goals and enjoy new experiences.
• New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people’s records accurately.
• Help create Extraordinary Days Every Day through positive, meaningful experiences.

Requirements

• Full UK manual driving licence (essential)
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and overnight sleep-ins
• Ability to commit to a 2 days on (with sleep-ins) / 4 days off rolling rota
• No prior experience required – full training and mentoring provided.
