Job summary

Wilderness Way in the United Kingdom is hiring a Residential Support Worker to help children feel safe, valued and supported. You’ll build trusting relationships, create a structured home, and support education, health and wellbeing while promoting independence.

Experience with children or vulnerable groups is preferred. A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is desirable, and a full UK driving licence is required. Roles include sleep-ins; progression opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or vulnerable individuals in care, education or youth work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work towards Level 3 qualification if not held.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with children.
• Create a safe, structured, nurturing home environment.
• Support children with education, health and wellbeing.
• Encourage independence, confidence and resilience.
• Help children access new experiences and opportunities.
• Support children to express their wishes, feelings and aspirations.
