Job summary

Wilderness Way in the United Kingdom is seeking a Children’s Residential Support Worker to help young people feel safe, valued and supported on their journey. You will build relationships, provide a nurturing home, support education, health and wellbeing, and model resilience.

This role offers progression to Senior Residential Support Worker for experienced candidates, with funded Level 3 Diploma, DBS checks and safeguarding commitments, plus generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals in care, education or support roles.
• Strong communication and a positive, resilient mindset.
• Willingness to work towards Level 3 qualification if not held already.
• Be 21 or over due to regulatory requirements in children's residential care.
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not offered.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and be comfortable driving for activities with children.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with children.

• Support children with education, health and wellbeing.

• Collaborate with Managers, Therapists, Outdoor Specialists and MDTs to achieve positive outcomes.
