Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Residential Childcare Assessor/Trainer (Trainee or Qualified) to work from home with field duties across Hertfordshire. Travel flexibility is essential as the role involves visiting learners and sites.

Salary £32,500–£34,000 depending on qualifications and experience, plus excellent benefits and pension. Full-time, permanent position, with expenses and support for assessor qualification.

Qualifications

• Must have solid occupational experience within Residential Childcare (Children's Home) at Deputy Manager level or above.
• Hold or be willing to work towards an Assessor qualification (funded and supported).
• Hold a level 3 NVQ in Residential Childcare as a minimum.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assess and support a caseload of learners working towards Residential Childcare Apprenticeships - Levels 4 and 5.
• Support learners with Functional Skills Maths and English to Level 2.
• Manage your diary to ensure timely reviews and meetings.
• Conduct online video meetings and training sessions with learners.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
• Support, advise and motivate learners.

Essential Criteria:

• Must hold solid occupational experience within Residential Childcare (Childrens Home) as a Deputy Manager or above.
