Are you a passionate care professional with strong frontline experience and a commitment to developing others through training and mentorship?
We are seeking a Residential Care Manager to join our dynamic team in Aylesbury, supporting the Responsible Individual in leading safe, nurturing homes for children and young adults aged 16 to 18 with complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact while helping shape the future of young lives.

Your Role:

  • Lead by example on the frontline, delivering and maintaining high standards of care.
  • Supervise and support a dedicated staff team, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and CQC standards.
  • Oversee and implement personalised care plans, promoting independence, growth, and well-being.
  • Deliver and support ongoing staff training and development, ensuring team competency and confidence.
  • Respond to and escalate safeguarding concerns following best practice protocols.
  • Maintain audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Build positive working relationships with families, social workers, and other professionals.
  • Provide cover for the domiciliary manager as needed.

About You:

  • Level 3 or 5 Diploma (or equivalent degree) in Residential Childcare, Leadership & Management, or a related field (or willingness to work towards).
  • Proven frontline care experience, preferably within residential care for young people.
  • Experience in delivering training and coaching staff – a nursing background is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, care planning, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team development skills.
