Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Deputy Service Manager for a residential service in Tilehurst, Reading. The role involves overseeing a team of Support Workers, ensuring high standards of care and regulatory compliance, and supporting service users to live fulfilling lives.

You will work closely with the Registered Manager, lead the team, and contribute to developing person-centred plans, risk assessments, and community activities, within a 37.5-hour week and flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervisory/senior support or care management.
• Strong understanding of person-centred support, safeguarding and quality compliance.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the support team with regular supervision and performance management.
• Support recruitment, induction and training of new colleagues.
• Oversee development and implementation of person-centred support plans and risk assessments.
• Complete care needs and medication competency audits and ensure accurate record keeping.
• Attend multidisciplinary meetings and support service improvements.
• Create engaging activities to promote community inclusion for service users.
