Job summary

5 Star Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant (Residential) to support elderly or vulnerable residents with daily living and personal care in a residential setting.

You will work as part of a friendly care team, following care plans, assisting with activities, and helping residents stay connected with family and community. Shifts include weekends, with training and safeguarding respected.

Qualifications

• Certification of competence or equivalent where applicable.
• Ability to work without close supervision.
• May be required to undertake a lower graded role as appropriate.
• Experience caring for elderly in a residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks: washing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support.
• Foster a friendly, supportive, and homely atmosphere for residents.
• Assist with shopping, activities, and social interaction with family and community.
• Support medication administration as directed by care plans and management.
• Collaborate with domestic staff to meet residents' personal needs and maintain records.
