5 Star Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant (Residential) to support elderly residents in a caring, home-like environment. You will assist with daily living tasks, help with mobility and monitor health needs under supervision.

The role requires working weekends and bank holidays, day hours between 08:00 and 22:00, and a commitment to equality, safety and quality of care. Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds in practical or home nursing are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience or ability to demonstrate competence in core care tasks.
• Capability to gain relevant care certificates where applicable.
• Ability to work without close supervision.
• Lower graded role possible depending on profile.

Responsabilités

• Wash, dress, bathe and feed clients, including those with special needs.
• Social duties: talk to and motivate clients, help with shopping and social activities.
• Create a supportive, homely atmosphere to promote independence.
• Assist with administration of medication where appropriate.
• Attend training courses and work with students/volunteers when needed.
• Assist with laundry and care of client items.
