Job summary

5 Star Recruitment is seeking staff to provide personal care and general support to older people in a Lancashire-based residential setting. You will assist with daily tasks, help maintain independence, and support clients with activities and mobility.

The role involves supervising and training junior staff, collaborating with care teams, and ensuring patients receive compassionate, respectful care in a home-like environment.

Qualifications

• Experience or ability to demonstrate competence in care tasks.
• Ability to gain relevant certificates of competence if applicable.
• Ability to work without close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to older people and those with dementia.
• Deliver support to maintain independence and dignity.
• Assist with activities such as shopping, social engagement, and routines.
• Assist with medication administration under supervision.
• Co-operate with domestic staff to meet personal needs.
• Escort clients to appointments or outings as required.
• Attend training courses and support supervision of students or volunteers.
• Maintain clean and safe living environments for residents.
