Job summary

St Leonards School in St Andrews is seeking a Non-Resident House Tutor to join its Boarding team. You will report to the Housemaster/Housemistress and support high-quality care for boarders aged 10 to 18, including day pupils.

This is a term-time only, full-time position with a permanent contract and 40 hours per week. The role involves supervising students, enforcing standards, coordinating with health and safety, arranging trips, and liaising with the Medical Centre to ensure welfare.

Qualifications

• Main responsibilities include supervising boarding students, maintaining discipline, and ensuring welfare.
• Liaising with Housemaster/Housemistress and Deputy Head (Pastoral).
• Adhering to school policies, safeguarding, and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise boarding students at all times, including mornings and evenings.
• Promote high standards of appearance, behaviour, and conduct for boarders and day students.
• Coordinate travel arrangements and weekend/holiday activities with boarding staff.
• Conduct tours for visitors and support school events within the boarding house.
• Raise maintenance requests and ensure health and safety compliance in the boarding house.
