Oakland Care in Eastbourne is seeking a Lifestyles Assistant to plan and deliver a vibrant programme of activities for our residents. You will work closely with the Lifestyles Manager to run group sessions, support one-to-one interactions, and develop new ideas based on personal hobbies and interests.

A caring, creative approach is essential. The role involves leading crafts, music sessions, outings, and events, with a 32-hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience working with people in a person-centred way.
• Willingness to learn and work towards an S/NVQ qualification.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and support people from diverse backgrounds.
• Confidence with practical day-to-day tasks involved in activity delivery.

• Supporting residents to live life to the fullest.
• Encouraging and empowering residents to take part in meaningful activities.
• Assisting residents with their individual lifestyle choices.
• Understanding residents’ personal needs, interests, and preferences.
• Planning, arranging, and facilitating a diverse range of activities.
