Oakland Care in Maidstone invites applications for a part-time Lifestyles Assistant to create vibrant activities for residents. You will plan and run group sessions, support one-to-one activities, and help residents engage in crafts, music, outings, and social events with warmth and kindness.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable individuals.
• Willingness to pursue an S/NVQ qualification if not already achieved.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and support people from diverse backgrounds.
• Confidence with practical day-to-day tasks involved in activity delivery.

Responsibilities

• Supporting residents to live life to the fullest.
• Encouraging and empowering residents to take part in meaningful activities.
• Assisting residents with their individual lifestyle choices.
• Understanding residents’ personal needs, interests, and preferences.
• Planning, arranging, and facilitating a diverse range of activities.
• Accompanying residents on weekly trips and outings.
• Leading group and one-to-one activities.
• Helping create new activity ideas and activity packs.
• Setting up for events, talks, and social gatherings.
