Job summary

Howells Solutions Limited is seeking a Resident Liaison Officer for planned works in social housing, based between High Wycombe, Rickmansworth and Chelmsford. The role is full-time, temporary to permanent, paying 22 per hour with a company van and fuel card.

You will support residents during refurbishment and major works, building strong relationships and providing timely information and responses. Prior experience with main contractors and Decent Homes programmes is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Full clean driving licence with own vehicle.
• Experience with a main contractor on similar projects is ideal.
• Decent Homes programme experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive relationships with residents to provide information and support during refurbishment, maintenance and major works.
• Prevent and limit dissatisfaction; resolve complaints and queries quickly and efficiently.
• Visit tenants in their homes and advise on work schedules and completion dates.
• Act as the main point of contact for tenants and handle problems/queries.
• Engage with neighbourhood housing associations and build working relations.

Resident Liaison Officer - Social Housing Planned Works

Based in High Wycombe, Rickmansworth and Chelmsford

Full time, temp to perm

22 per hour plus van + fuel card

We are working with a leading main contractor to find a successful and proactive Resident Liaison Officer to join their team delivering a planned maintenance contract within Social Housing based in High Wycombe, Rickmansworth and Chelmsford. This role is a ongoing temporary position for 6 months minimum.

It will be your responsibility to develop positive relationships with residents in order to provide information and support during refurbishment, maintenance and major works programmes. You will prevent and limit dissatisfaction, resolve complaints and queries quickly and efficiently. This scheme is working closely with a public sector client so previous experience working for a main contractor on similar projects is ideal.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Working on planned maintenance projects
• Decent Homes programme experience
• Full clean driving licence with own vehicle
• Pre-entry visits and company inductions
• Collect tenancy agreement/approval forms
• Visiting tenants in their homes and advising them on when and what work is being carried out
• Act as the main point of contact and deal with any problems/queries that the tenant may have
• Contacting neighbourhood housing associations and establishing working relations with them
• Visiting properties that are being refurbished with potential tenants and advising them on completion dates
• Attending and chairing tenant forum meetings to advise tenants of works being carried out
