Job summary

Bupa at The Arkley House Care Home is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to support the kitchen team in delivering high‑quality meals to residents. You will help plate meals, prepare trolleys and maintain clean food prep areas, ensuring food hygiene standards are met.

The role requires a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and a passion for serving residents with excellent dining experiences. A supportive team environment and varied shifts are on offer.

Qualifications

• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Experience in a kitchen and delivering good service to residents.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and team.

Responsibilities

• Act as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
• Assist the chefs to plate meals and prepare food trolleys, keeping preparation areas clean.
• Monitor stock rotation and follow COSHH/HACCP guidelines.
• Assist with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
