Job summary

The Arkley House Care Home, part of Bupa, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant in Barnet to support the kitchen team and ensure residents receive excellent dining experiences. You will help plate meals, prepare food trolleys and keep preparation areas clean.

You will monitor stock rotation and follow COSHH/HACCP guidelines, and assist with catering for events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties. A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is required.

Qualifications

• A passion for food and delivering a great dining experience.
• Excellent communication with residents and team members.
• Ability to work as part of a kitchen team in a care home.

Responsibilities

• Act as the link between main kitchen and residents during service.
• Assist chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and keep prep areas clean.
